RELIGIOUS MEMORY

The sound element encoded in a spectrogram on the Jacquard knit is a montage of the Lordʼs Prayer spoken in Latin accompanied by the sound of  rockets exploding in the 2021 Israeli-Palestine conflict. The sound of the disintegrating rockets punctuates the words Et in Terra (and on Earth). Voice acting: Philip Palmer. The rotating camera reads the textile and converts it to sound.
